Machines Utilized in D-Day

As we enter into a new year, 2025, hope and faith in a prosperous future are the primary focus. Still, we must always remember how and why we have the opportunities to be hopeful and prosperous. There are many reasons as to why, but one I'd like to consider now is D-Day. Technology had a vast role in our winning World War II. Never will we forget the troops and lives lost and never will we forget the lives saved. Tools, equipment, machinery and the availability of metals were incredibly necessary to manufacture the weapons, tanks, vehicles, planes and equipment used to save those lives, win the war.

One of the many inventions manufactured to help us win World War II was the Sherman tank , designed and built by the United States.

Below are some other inventions manufactured and used to win World War II

• Thunderbolts, Lightnings and Typhoons armed with rockets and bombs, and equipped with heavy machine guns (.50 caliber) and 20mm cannons.

• DD tanks

When you research the war in more detail, you discover the bravery of man and innovative machinery. Now, in the year 2025, you see ever more immeasurable advancement in machines and military equipment innovation. It is true, human bravery and effort was key to winning the World War II. It is also true, machines making the machines they used helped them succeed. Many sacrifices were made during that war and all wars before and after. My prayer is that any war going on right now, ends peacefully. But if it doesn't end quickly, may it end in with the least losses of life and the right outcome using the best equipment possible. Manufacturing will always be key to our daily lives even if that means wartime.

Fabricators and metal workers with the right machines all able and ready to make what we need to succeed. Today, let's celebrate manufacturing and honor those whom we owe a great debt to for our freedom today and hopefully always.
