Truck Appreciation!

Just the other day while driving South on I-17 from Cordes Junction to Phoenix, my grandson mentioned how many different kinds of trucks he noticed and how important each of them are to our lives. He's right! Without the variety and versatility of trucks, we'd have no way to "properly" transport large loads of products, remove trash and debris, deliver rock and sand, transport oil, remove sewage, spray down construction sites with water to reduce pollution and so much more. "Properly" is the key word with regard to our conversation because of course we know you can do those things with a different type of vehicle, but it would not be as economical, safe, capable and that is why we talked mostly about celebrating trucks and drivers on our drive home.
Because of what my husband and I do with regard to selling manufacturing and fabricating machinery, it was important to also share with our grandson the importance of how these trucks are built. "Which came first", I asked "the truck or the machinery to make it?". He answered "machinery". Thus, we agreed machinery deserves a great deal of appreciation also as do machinists, fabricators, manufacturers and such. As a little boy, our grandson loved trucks to play with and now he loves them in a much different way. He sees they are more than tough, big and loud...he appreciates that they are a necessity for his and all of our daily lives.
I could not have been prouder of him during that conversation. It was a fun drive home and incredible day of truck appreciation! Shout out of "thanks" to all those drivers too!
