It's terrific to be specific!

All my life, mom has drill into me that it's terrific to be specific! Whether it was during baking, making or taking care of something, she taught me to pay attention to details, especially when reconciling the check book. "Pay attention of pay later for the mistake" she would warn. Thank God for my mom's love and lessons taught. Wish I could say that I took all her advice, some mistakes were made. Good news is those mistakes taught me well that what she taught me was right and well, I know now "it is indeed terrific to be specific".
Our business is all about specifications. Our customers and their businesses are all about specifications. What is the application, material, level of production and amount of investment you'd like to make? These are questions we have to ask so we can quote the best make, model, options and price. Manufacturing, fabrication, structural steel and metal work only succeed when details are correctly planned and executed. The machines we sell vary and each has a purpose. You don't use a band saw to punch a hole into I beam. You don't use a press brake to cut pipes. You don't use a shear to roll sheet metal. You use the right machine per job required and that takes paying attention to detail start to finish.
People in general, do not show our appreciation for manufacturing, fabricating, metal working on a daily basis, if ever. But I do and will because it's so obvious based on what we do that what our customers do is seriously important and incredibly necessary. Our customers build, make and produce so much of what we as a society need. From buildings to staircases to planes to trains to all things steel, iron, alloy...metal. Am so grateful our customers are careful and specific in what they manufacture as it's terrific indeed to meet a specific need.
