On the occasions where I got to witness what ADOT was doing with regard to the Broadway Curve Project, it inspired me. Am always proud of the construction workers who put themselves often in difficult risky situations, building new roads that help with traffic congestion relief. Sure, this is expensive and requires strategic planning and efforts to implement. Yes, it is frustrating during the demolition and rebuilding to drive anywhere near the work being performed. Detours are going to happen! But wow, the process and result is worth it!
When I get the munchies, typically the "go to" are carbs. My lap can look like a crumby mess sometimes, depending how tired and hungry. My teeth work great! Which is why watching equipment munch and crunch concrete amazes me! The strength of those machines is incredible. The grinding and shearing of metal, the digging and scraping of hard surfaces, the lifting and removal of debris - most of which is repurposed - so cool!
I love it when machines are used to make machines for use specific to these kinds of needs.
Thank you ADOT and every worker, contractor or person involved with all projects in AZ. It's impressive to see the process and expressive to use the end result. One thing I know for sure, what can be done with heavy equipment should not be taken lightly.
