Recently I heard on a podcast Mike Rowe talking about a tube and pipe manufacturer and he said something that was music to my ears, "tubes and pipes hold civilization together". Mike Rowe is 100% right! Just take a moment and think about your home, office, car, school, grocery store or anything really that would have to include some sort of tube and/or pipe involved to make it work properly and be grateful.
The "metal web we weave" in civilization has allowed so many applications across different industries flourish. Below are just a few uses for metal tubes and pipes:
Fluid Transmission
Construction
Agriculture
Transportation
Manufacturing
To say these uses are important is an understatement unless you live and stay completely "off the grid". Most of us do not. Even if we do enjoy nature, we drive to it and use roads, freeways and often bridges to get to it. We also stop at rest areas, restaurants and gas stations along the way. And let's not forget that we take with us many items that required manufacturing before we bought them such as chairs, cookware, tents and such. Bottom line, we value the tubes and pipes that help our lives even when we don't consciously think about it. Metal tubes and pipes when woven together for a positive purpose in a proper manner is a beautiful thing indeed!
